Vigils in Idlib city and countryside | Locals show solidarity with forcibly disappeared people in regime prisons

SOHR activists have reported that dozens of civilians staged a vigil in Idlib and Kafr Takharim cities this evening, commemorating the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances. The protesters demanded the international community to exert all possible efforts to disclose the fate of tens of thousands of forcibly disappeared Syrians in regime prisons.

The victims’ families lifted placards with slogans written on them read “enforced disappearance is a crime that will never die“.

On August 30 every year, the world commemorates the “Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances”.
