IED attack | Explosion leaves five people dead and wounded in Afrin city

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported hearing an explosion in Afrin city which is under the control of Turkish forces their proxy factions operating under the banner of the “National Army”. The explosion was caused by the detonation of an IED in a car, “Santa Fe” make, in front of a fuel store on the road to Trendah in al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood. The explosion left a man dead and four others injured, while fire broke out in the fuel store due to the explosion which also caused material damage.

 

On July 18, SOHR activists in the “Olive Brach” areas reported an explosion in a car in Afrin city in north-west Aleppo countryside. The explosion caused material damage, but no casualties were reported. It is worth noting that the targeted vehicle belonged to media activists working in the region.
