Aleppo | Three Turkish-backed militiamen killed in clashes with Kurdish forces in Afrin countryside

Aleppo province: Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of three militiamen of the Turkish-backed “al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah” in clashes this dawn with Turkish forces on Maryameen frontline in Afrin countryside in north-western Aleppo. It is worth noting that two of the fatalities had been displaced from Rif Dimashq to Afrin under a Russian-Turkish deal.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented that Turkish forces fired over 300 rockets on areas under the control of Manbij Military Council Forces in Manbij countryside in eastern Aleppo.

The Turkish bombardment was concentrated on the villages of al-Houshariay, al-Toukhar, al-Lajat, al-Sayadah, Joblat al-Syadah, Um Adasah, Yalanly, Kour Houyok, Kourt Wayran, Boghas and al-Fawaris farms in Mabij countryside, which caused material damage to several houses and forced some families to flee to safer places.

This bombardment comes after the death of a Turkish soldier and wounding of other four in rocket fire by Kurdish forces in the afternoon, which targeted a Turkish base in al-Yashily villages in al-Bab countryside in north-eastern Aleppo.
