Renewed airstrikes | Russian jets strike positions in southern Idlib, as Turkey keeps silence
Idlib province: SOHR sources have reported renewed airstrikes by Russian jets on positions in Idlib province in north-west Syria, as four airstrikes were executed on the surrounding areas of Maarrat Masrin city in Idlib countryside, but no further details have been reported yet about the number of casualties and material damage caused by the recent airstrikes.
Meanwhile, Turkey, the “de-escalation” guarantor, seems indifferent to the escalation on Idlib.
SOHR activists documented earlier this morning the death of a civilian woman and injury of child, as regime forces fired a Krasinball shell this morning, which hit the house of a doctor in Mar’yan village in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib. It is worth noting that the doctor was working in a medical centre when the shell hit his house, while the victim was the doctor’s wife.
On the other hand, Russian jets executed several airstrikes on the surrounding areas of al-Bara town in Jabal al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib, as the airstrikes targeted the perimeter of the Turkish post in al-Bara. However, no casualties were reported.
Last night, SOHR activists documented the death of a lady, a man who served as the deputy of the chief of administration in Idlib University, a little girl and another man due to artillery fire by regime forces stationed in Saraqeb city on al-Dubayt neighbourhood in Idlib city and a park on the outskirts of the city. The bombardment also left over ten other people injured, some seriously.
