Al-Hasakah | Unknown assailants target US military base with rockets

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that two rockets hit the outskirts of a US base in al-Shaddadi city in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah. However, no casualties have been reported. The rockets were fired from the desert, amid suggestions of being fired by ISIS cells in an attempt to inflict damage and casualties in the US base.

 

Meanwhile, US forces stationed in the base were seen on high alert, amid combing operations in the region.

 

On August 8, SDF Counter-terrorism Units launched a security campaign, with International Coalition support, in al-Shaddadi countryside in al-Hasakah countryside. According to SOHR sources, the security campaign targeted two members of ISIS cells who were hiding near Tel al-Jair neighborhood in the east of al-Shaddadi town, as the security forces arrested them and confiscated technical equipment and documents in their possession.
