Ongoing violations in Afrin | Military police arrests five civilians, and Turkish-backed factions reject evacuation of house and arrest its owner

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that elements of al-Jabhah al-Shamiyah have arrested Afrin civilian from Qourotqouliq village after returning back to Afrin from Lebanon on September 8 when he asked the factions members to evacuate his house in al-Ashraqiya neighborhood in Afrin city.

On the other hand, member of the Turkey-backed military police has arrested five civilians from Joulma village in Jandarus neighborhood on September 6 on charges of blackmail and obtain a ransom, and they were taken to a police station in Jandarus.

Meanwhile, the military police arrested a civilian Ba’adina village in Rajo neighborhood on August 30 on charges of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration and collecting 1,500 Turkish lira as ransom.

SOHR activists reported that the checkpoint of Turkey-backed military police arrested on August 30, four persons from Ba’adina village in Rajo neighborhood on charges of serving the conscription with the former Autonomous Administration on purpose of collecting money, as the police asked their relatives to pay 1,500 Turkish Lira for their release.
