IED attack | Commander among three militiamen of al-Hamza Division killed in explosion in Afrin’s Raju

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported hearing a loud explosion this afternoon in Raju district in the countryside of Afrin, north-west of Aleppo, caused by the detonation of an IED in a vehicle carrying a military commander of the Turkish-backed al-Hamza Division and two of his escorts. The explosion resulted in the death the three people immediately.

 

On September 5, SOHR activists reported hearing an explosion in Afrin city which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions operating under the banner of the “National Army”. The explosion was caused by the detonation of an IED in a car, “Santa Fe” make, in front of a fuel store on the road to Trendah in al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood. The explosion left a man dead and four others injured, while fire broke out in the fuel store due to the explosion which also caused material damage.
