Corruption | Humanitarian organizations distribute expired food supplies in al-Hasakah countryside

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that the National Committee of the Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent organization have distributed expired food supplies in al-Jazera areas.

 

SOHR sources have obtained exclusive photos showed the expired products provided by those humanitarian organization, where the food was produced on 2020 and was valid for only one year; however, these food supplies aboard a truck were distributed in Amouda city in al-Hasakah countryside.

 

SOHR sources added that the humanitarian organizations usually distribute food supplies that are almost expired. Furthermore, these products and food baskets are sold to merchants who recycle and repackage them, before distributing them under the name of other humanitarian organizations.
