Deir Ezzor | SDF storms river crossings and confiscate fuel and food supplies prepared for being smuggled

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that SDF has raided crossings used for smuggling goods and people in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, where it arrested four smugglers and confiscated 30 barrels of fuel in al-Janina town and 60 bags of flour in al-Kaber town, while the fuel and flour were ready to be smuggled to regime-held areas.

On September 6, SOHR activists reported that SDF boosted their military positions along the bank of Euphrates river in Al-Shuhayl town in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, just a few hours after they set the reed plants which spread along the river in this area on fire.

This development came in light of SDF efforts to level up their surveillance to the crossings used for smuggling goods and people to regime-held areas.

While, on September 5, SOHR monitored that SDF cut down and set fire to reed plants along the banks of Euphrates river in order to put an end to the smuggling operations across Euphrates river  in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
