Syrian desert | Russian warplanes bombard heavy raids on ISIS cells

SOHR activists have reported continuous Russian strikes on the Syrian desert since the early hours of Friday. The Russian strikes targeted hotbeds of ISIS in al-Resafah desert in al-Raqqa province, al-Raqqa-Hama-Aleppo triangle as well as Homs al-Sharqiya desert.

The attacks targeted Mghar, backlines and caves in an attempt to hinder the activities of ISIS and limit their activities in the region, but no information has been reported yet.

On Sept. 15, SOHR activists have reported clashes at the frontlines of the vicinity of oil station known as TS that is stationed in al-Mayadeen desert in east Deir Ezzor between the regime forces and its proxies on one side and ISIS on the other sides in the latter attack on the region.

The attacks coincided with exchange of clashes amid rocket fire by the regime forces at the vicinity of the neighborhood and firing flash bombs. But, reports about casualties have been confirmed.
