For collecting ransom | Turkish-backed factions kidnap civilians from Afrin

Aleppo countryside: SOHR activists have reported that members of the Turkish-backed al-Hamza Division kidnapped a woman from Afrin on September 12, where militiamen of “Abu Shaher” group of al-Hamza Division kidnapped the woman from her uncle’s house in Kimar village in Afrin countryside and took her to an unknown destination. Abu Shaher group asked the kidnapped girl’s family to pay a ransom of 1,000 USD in return for releasing her.

It is worth noting that the woman had been detained with several Kurdish women in the prison of al-Hamza Division in Afrin city and released nine months ago.

On the other hand, an elder from Kerzayhel “Kerzayla” village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, was beaten and arrested by Ahrar al-Sham, after he returned to his village 20 days ago. The man later was released after demands of paying a large ransom, but he was suffering from poor health condition when he was released.
