140 airstrikes since early September | Russian fighter target several positions throughout the “de-escalation zone”

In light of the escalation of Russian airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone”, SOHR activists have documented 139 Russian airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone” since early September, as 101 airstrikes hit positions across Idlib province, 18 airstrikes were executed on Latakia province, two airstrikes were executed on Hama province and 18 airstrikes hit positions in Aleppo province.

The Russian airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone” in September could be summarized as follows:

On September 1: Russian fighter jets executed 12 airstrikes, targeting positions in Hursh al-Hamamah in the western countryside of Idlib, which hosts a camp of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham with eight airstrikes, and the hills of Kabana and frontlines of Duwayr al-Akrad in Latakia countryside with four others.

On September 2: Russian fighter jets executed six airstrikes, targeting frontlines in Kabana, Tallat al-Khudar in Latakia and al-Sarmaniyah in Hama countryside.

On September 3: Russian fighter jets executed six airstrikes, targeting the surrounding areas of Kansafra and Hemaymat, killing a child.

On September 4: Russian fighter jets executed six airstrikes, targeting positions in Kansafrah, Ain Larouz and Uram al-Jouz in Idlib countryside, injuring a child.

On September 5: Russian fighter jets executed ten airstrikes, targeting the hills of Kabana, Kafradin in Latakia countryside, the villages of Kansafra, al-Bara and Bayanin in Jabal al-Zawiyah.

On September 6: Russian fighter jets executed six airstrikes, targeting the surrounding areas of Ihsim town in Jabal al-Zawiyah.

On September 7: Russian fighter jets executed six airstrikes, targeting the surrounding areas of al-Habaat village in the west of Maarrat Masrin, injuring two children.

On September 8: Russian fighter jets executed 12 airstrikes, targeting the surrounding areas of al-Bara town, Deir Sonbol in Jabal al-Zawiyah, and positions in Marrat Masrin.

On September 9: Russian fighter jets executed 16 airstrikes on Idlib and Latakia countryside, targeting the surrounding areas of al-Bara town and Kansafrah in Jabal al-Zawiyah with 12 airstrikes, and frontlines of Kabana and al-Khudur in northern Latakia with four other airstrikes.

On September 10: Russian fighter jets executed four airstrikes on Sheikh Bahr area in northern Idlib and three others on the surrounding areas of Deir Sonbol and Bayanin in Jabal al-Zawiyah.

On September 11: Russian fighter jets executed six airstrikes on the surrounding areas of Kansafra in Jabal al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside.

On September 12: Russian fighter jets executed ten airstrikes, targeting the surrounding areas of Kansafra town in Jabal al-Zawiyah and Darrat Izza in western Aleppo.

On September 13: Russian fighter jets executed 15 airstrikes, targeting the surrounding areas of Deir Sonbol with seven airstrikes, the surrounding areas of al-Bara and Kansafra with four airstrikes, and the surrounding areas of Sheikh Suleiman in Aleppo countryside with four airstrikes.

On September 14: Russian fighter jets executed four airstrikes on Sheikh Suleiman area in Aleppo countryside.

On September 15: Russian fighter jets executed seven airstrikes, targeting the surrounding areas of al-Zarzur and al-Hamamah villages and Hursh al-Hamamah, killing a Turkistani child and injuring two other persons.

On September 17: Russian fighter jets executed ten airstrikes, targeting Jabal Sheikh Barakat in Aleppo countryside, near the administrative border with Idlib province.
