Students sit-in | Idlib university students demand adjusting administrative decision of clemency degrees

SOHR activists have reported that dozens of students staged a sit-in in front of the presidency building of Idlib University, demanding to amend the administrative decision to raise the clemency degrees for the new academic year to apply it on the student who fails in six subjects, instead of four subjects.

The students appealed on the university’s presidency to consider their demands and their living conditions, given the demands will serve nearly three thousand male and female students.

The students raised banners with slogans that read: “The University real investment is its students. No for wasting their future.”

On the other hand, Idlib University issued a decree for the current academic year, to open number of medical and literary colleges and institutes for the first time at the university.

It is worth noting that the number of Idlib University’s students is nearly 13,000 students, and that university opened a student’s hospital where students and graduates can work, for the first time in northwestern Syria.
