Third joint patrol in “Kobani” in September | Turkish and Russian forces tour villages in Ain al-Arab countryside

SOHR activists have reported seeing Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol in Ain al-Arab city (Kobani) , as four Russian vehicles and four Turkish set off from Ghareeb village in the east of Ain al-Arab. The patrol toured the villages of Jayshan, Kharabisan, Mough, Waitouriran, Ba’dik and areas in the northern countryside of al-Raqqah, before it returned to the starting point.

 

The patrol, which was the fourth joint patrol between Russian and Turkish forces in Ain al-Arab countryside since early September, was escorted by two Russian helicopters.

 

On September 13, SOHR activists reported that Russian and Turkish forces run a new joint patrol in north-east Syria, as the vehicles set off from Ashma crossing in west Ain al-Arab (Kobani) and toured villages in the its countryside.

 

On September 6, SOHR activists reported seeing Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol in Ain al-Arab countryside (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The patrol set off from Ashma area and toured villages in Ain al-Arab countryside, before they returned to the starting point. This patrol came as a part of routine joint patrols between Russian and Turkish forces in the region.
