Demanding disclosure of detainees’ fate | Families of imprisoned employees and officials of Autonomous Administration stage vigil in front of UN headquarters in al-Qamishli

SOHR activists have reported that the families of employees and officials of the Autonomous Administration in northern and north-eastern Syria, who had been arrested for “corruption”, staged a vigil in front of the headquarters of the United Nation in al-Qamishli city. The families called for disclosing the fate of detainees, reveal the accusations against them and proved documents proving that they were involved in “corruption”.

The families also called for referring the detainees to competent courts, so that they can hire lawyers.

In the past months, the Autonomous Administration arrested tens of people under a campaign aiming to “counter corruption”, as Autonomous Administration’s officials described.
