Military escalation on Aleppo | Turkish forces shell positions on “al-Sajour” line

Aleppo province: As Turkish forces continue their military escalation on the formations operating under the banner of Syria Democratic Forces in Aleppo countryside, SOHR activists have reported new rocket attacks by Turkish forces and their proxy factions on positions on “al-Sajour” line in areas under the control of Manbij Military Council Forces. No casualties have been reported.

On September 20, SOHR activists reported that the SDF-backed Manbij Military Council ordered its military formations to stop the military operations under reaction to any Turkish bombardment for ten days, while the reasons behind this order remained unknown.

SOHR activists had monitored tense calm on most of Manbij frontlines interrupted by sporadic bombardment on the frontlines since afternoon.

It is worth noting that the trade movement grows between areas under the control of Turkish-backed factions and areas controlled by Manbij Military Council, through Um Juloud border crossing in Manbij countryside in eastern Aleppo, where food supplies, cement, steel and other goods are transported to the areas under the control of Manbij Military Council, while fuel is transported to the Turkish-held areas.
