Old ordnance | Civilian injured in landmine explosion al-Raqqah countryside

Al-Raqqah province: SOHR activists have reported the injury of a civilian in al- Mushayrafa village, three km east of Ain Eissa, in explosion of old landmine, while he was nearby the village.

On the other hand, a civilian found nearly 15 old landmines in Nirbeya village in the countryside of al-Bab city.

It is worth noting that Dozens of donum of agricultural lands in the eastern countryside of Aleppo and Ain al-Arab are still invalid for agricultural usage because of presence of landmines that were planted by ISIS before its defeat in the region.

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 593 people, including 80 women and 205 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.
