Ongoing airstrikes | Russian jets attack positions in eastern Idlib

As Russian escalation continues in the “de-escalation zone” through executing airstrikes on a daily basis, SOHR activists have reported a new round of Russian airstrikes this morning, as Russian fighter jets executed over five airstrikes on positions in the surrounding areas and outskirts of al-Fu’ah in the eastern countryside of Idlib. However, no casualties have been reported.

On the other hand, a kamikaze drone, believed to be Russian, attacked the outskirts of al-Bara and Jabal al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib. No casualties have been reported.

Accordingly, the number of Russian airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone” since early September has risen to 191, as 145 airstrikes hit positions across Idlib province, 25 airstrikes were executed on Latakia province, two airstrikes were executed on Hama province and 19 airstrikes hit positions in Aleppo province.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that Russian fighter jets executed four airstrikes with vacuum missiles this morning, targeting the surrounding areas of al-Ghassaniyah and al-Aliyah villages in Jisr al-Shughur countryside in western Idlib. However, no further details were reported about the number of casualties and material damage caused by the recent airstrikes.
