Russian airstrikes | Fighter jets attack positions of Turkish-backed National Army in rural Afrin

SOHR activists have reported that Russian jets have executed three airstrikes on positions of the Turkish-backed factions in Basofan area in the south-west of Afrin city in the northern countryside of Aleppo, in “Olive Branch” areas which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions. Meanwhile, Russian jets are still flying over the region.

 

These airstrikes came after an infiltration attempt by factions the Turkish-backed National on a regime position in Sawaghanka village in Shirawa district this morning followed by fierce clashes between the two sides, which left four regime soldiers injured, and they were taken to the hospitals of Nebl and al-Zahraa in Aleppo. Moreover, several militiamen of the National Army sustained various injuries, as they entered a landmine field, while they were withdrawing.
