Targeting ISIS cells | International Coalition conduct two air drop in south east Deir Ezzor countryside killing three ISIS members

 

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that the International Coalition forces have carried out in the early hours of Sunday an air drop in al-Shaheel area in east Deir Ezzor countryside.

Details about the air drop have unveiled that a helicopter of the International Coalition chased three members of ISIS who were hiding near a checkpoint for the Special Forces in al-Shabaka neighborhood in al-Shaheel town.

The two sides exchanged fire which killed three ISIS members near Euphrates River in al-Shaheel town, who are from Swuidan Jazeerah village.

In al-Zar village in east Deir Ezzor, the international coalition with participation of five ground forces in the early morning of Sunday have also made an air drop that targeted a house hosting ISIS affiliated members.

The forces via speakers have asked all the people in the house to hand themselves, but clashes started and three people in the house were wounded. The International Coalition forces withdrew after arresting the suspects and burning their house.

On Sept. 23, SOHR sources reported that SDF Special Units and Counter-Terrorism Special Units (H.A.T.) stormed the villages of Abu Khashab town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, backed by helicopters of the International Coalition, where they arrested eight people for “dealing with the factions of the Turkish-backed National Army and ISIS cells”. Moreover, SDF carried out a security campaign in al-Jasimi village in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the previous day, with Coalition air support, arresting four people for “belonging to ISIS cells”.
