Idlib province: SOHR activists have reported the entry of a Turkish military convoy comprising heavy gears to the Syrian territory this evening, via Kafr Lucien crossing on the Syria border with Iskenderun region in northern Idlib. The convoy headed towards Tel Balyon (Balyon Hill) in the centre of Jabal al-Zawiyah area where Turkish forces stationed in the Turkish post which is located nearby the hill constructed new fortifications, enlarging the post to include the hill and its surrounding areas.

It is worth noting that Tel Balyon is the highest hill in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

On September 13, SOHR activists reported the entry of new Turkish military reinforcement in the Syrian lands as trucks loaded with logistics and military equipment and read-made chambers have entered from Karlouseen crossing border with Liwaa Ezkanroon in north Idlib and moved to the Turkish posts that are deployed in Idlib countryside.

While on September 11, SOHR sources confirmed the death of two Turkish soldiers and injury of four others, after an IED explosion targeted their vehicle on the road between Idlib and Nabash in northern Idlib, amid unconfirmed reports of the death of a third soldier.

On the other hand, “Abu Bakr al-Siddiq” battalion claimed responsibility of the attack.
