Olive harvest in Afrin approaches | National Army factions start looting civilians trees and harvests

In a scene that is repeated every year since the Turkish factions and its proxies have controlled Afrin and the affiliated neighborhood in March 2029, the National Army factions backed by Turkey have sized and looted sources of income of the people. The Turkish-backed factions have started looting the olive crops while the harvest seasons is approaching .

N.M., a female civilian from Zitounak village in Bulbul neighborhood told SOHR that she owned 50 Olive trees in Omar Samo village near al-Nabi catle in Sheran neighborhood but she couldn’t harvest it because Souqor al-Sham factions have looted the harvest at her sight and she couldn’t prevent them.

In the villages of Koutanly, Shiekhorzah, Bilio, Bebhka, Abdoon, Abla and Karat that are stationed under control of Sultan Murad faction who harvest daily the population crops despite pledges by the Economic Office to protect the people from looting their harvest.

The olive harvest is sold to one of the displaced people in the village of Aly Karo and then all the looted olive will be collected and squeezed in Abdoon village that is under control of Souqor al-Sham factions three years ago.

In the villages of Hasan Kalkawy and Kamrish, leader of al-Hamzawat Division, Mosaab al-Hak Hamoud has looted 300 olive trees that are owned to a civilian who has been deported from Afrin, as the factions looted the harvest on pretext the land is owned by people loyal to the Autonomous Administration.

Amid similar violations, on Sept. 20, Sultan Murad factioncut 50 olive trees around their headquarters in Koutanly village near Bulbul neighborhood and sold it as firewood and the same faction has cut 100 almond and olive trees in the same village.
