SOHR activists have reported death of under-18-year-old child in a land mine explosion near the crossing of Khisham town in Deir Ezzor countryside on Monday evening.

On Sept. 26, SOHR activists reported SOHR activists reported death of a child and wounding of another two, one has lost a hand, while the other sustained severe wounds, in a grenade explosion while they were playing with it.

It is worth noting that the kids found the grenade in the river while they were grazing sheep in Talkalah district in west countryside of Homs province.

The sources added that the two kids have sustained severe wounds; one of them has been staying in the intensive care while the other’s hand was amputated.

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 597 people, including 80 women and 208 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.
