Growing crimes | Man kills his wife after throwing grenade on her family house in Damascus

SOHR activists have reported that a man has deliberately on Tuesday morning threw a grenade on a house of his wife family in the neighborhood of Aysah River in the Syrian Capital in Damascus over differences between him and his wife.

The attack killed his wife and wounded her brother and mother as well as other people were at presence.

Following the accident, the man attempted to commit suicide amid escalating crime rate in the regime-controlled areas as this is the third crime in a week.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented a young male from Haraf al-Mosytrah neighborhood shot dead his brother and his sister-in-law then he committed suicide an hour later at sight of the crowds and members of the security forces, but reasons behind the crime remained unknown.

On Sept. 23, SOHR activists reported that a man blew up a grenade near the gate of the “Justice Palace” in Tartus city. According to SOHR sources, a dispute erupted between a lawyer and the man who blew himself up with a grenade, which resulted in the death of the man and the lawyer. Meanwhile, security services have arrived in the site of the explosion and started investigation.
