Rocket attack | Six killed and wounded in rocket fire by regime forces on camp northern Idlib, Russian jets attack city including Turkish patrol post in Jabal al-Zawiyah
SOHR activists have documented rocket fire by the regime forces on a Batnah camp that is located near Ma’arah Masreen in Idlib countryside. The attack has wounded five displaced including two children and three females.
On the other hand, Russian warplanes have bombarded strikes on al-Barah countryside in Jabal al-Zawiyah in south Idlib countryside that hosts Turkish patrol post, but no casualties have been reported yet.
Earlier, the Russian aircrafts returned back to resume air strikes on Putin-Erdoghan areas after halt since Spt. 26. Russian fighters in the morning conducted air strikes on al-Zyarah town in Sahl al-Ghab in northwest Hama, but no casualties have been reported yet.
The moves came, few hours after the two sides have mobilized forces in the de-escalation areas, especially in Idlib, between the Turkish side and its factions form one side and the regime forces and its militia on the other.
Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that the Turkish forces demanded all the forces in Idlib and Aleppo provinces to raise readiness of all military leaders and elements. The Turkish forces also for the first time since entering Idlib and west Aleppo countrysides deployed anti-armored weapons along the frontlines with the regime forces and its proxies in Idlib and west Aleppo countryside along with fixing mortars and directing its fire to the opposite frontlines and the supply lines.
According to SOHR sources, the Turkish forces concentrate on mobilizing it forces and heavy weapons at three frontlines: east Jabal al-Zawiyah at the side of Ma’arah al-No’amn city, Saraqeb at the side of Idlib city, and Miznar and Kafr Aleppo in west Aleppo countryside at the side of Hezano Outostrade Bab al-Hawa in parallel with the arrival of military reinforcement to the eastern frontlines of Idlib city at the side of Saraqeb.
The recent moves came after a meeting between the Turkish President and his Russian counterpart the day before yesterday and Erdoghan statements that the deal with the Russians is enforced in the de-escalation area. But, the reality on the ground doesn’t look like the deal will continue.
