A week of cautious calm | Turkish forces renew shelling Ain Issa countryside, amid civilian exodus from village near M4 highway

Al-Raqqah province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish artillery fire targeted SDF positions in the vicinity of Ma’aleq village in Ain Issa countryside, north of al-Raqqah. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

Meanwhile, SOHR activists have reported the displacement of most of the residents of Debs village in western Ain Issa, near M4 highway, where the families have fled to safer areas due to the repeated ground shelling on the village.

This development came after a week of cautious calm in the frontlines of Ain Issa.

On September 24, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces and their proxy factions renewed rocket fire, in the early hours of Friday morning, on Dabas village which is under the control of the Autonomous Administration in the western countryside of Ain Issa in northern al-Raqqah. No casualties were reported.
