As fighter jets flying over the province | Loud explosions rock several areas across al-Raqqah

Syrian Observatory activists have reported hearing several explosions in the early hours of Saturday morning in several areas across al-Raqqah province. Several explosions were heard in areas under the control of Syria Democratic Forces, while some others were heard in areas under the control of regime forces, along with frequent flights by fighter jets over the province. However, no information has been reported so far about the nature and sources of these explosion, and it is not known yet if they were military drills by the International Coalition and SDF, a security campaign by the Coalition and SDF in the surrounding areas of al-Raqqah city and northern countryside, or explosions in areas under the control of Iranian-backed militias in al-Sabkhah desert and around areas.

On Wednesday, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that reports circulated by the Russian press agency “Sputnik” on a rocket attack by Arab tribes on the US base in al-Hasakah countryside were completely untrue.

According to SOHR sources, several explosions were heard in southern countryside of al-Hasakah due to the detonation of some landmines by engineering teams of the International Coalition in Maqla’ al-Bahas area near Um al-Zarr village in al-Shaddadi countryside in southern al-Hasakah.

It is worth noting that “Sputnik” had circulated false reports, on September 19, on an attack by some gunmen from Arab tribes on a checkpoint of SDF at the entrance of al-Dashishah town in south al-Hasakah countryside.

At that time, very reliable SOHR sources confirmed that the reports circulated by the Russian press agency “Sputnik” on an attack by Arab tribes on a checkpoint of Syria Democratic Forces near the entrance of al-Dashishah town in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah were completely untrue.

The alleged attack was reported by the Russian press agency’s correspondent. However, SOHR sources confirmed that no attack or clashes took place in this area.

Relying on local sources, “Sputnik” reported that unknown gunmen, believed to be groups of Arab tribes, unleashed an attack on Saturday, September 18, on a checkpoint of the US-backed Syria Democratic Forces at the entrance of al-Dashishah town in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah.

Reliable SOHR sources confirmed that these reports were untrue.

According to “Sputnik” sources, the attack left four gunmen loyal to US army dead and others injured. However, military sources of SDF denied the death of any of SDF fighters in this area.
