Alarming escalation of crimes in regime-held areas | Man shoots his wife dead for “refusing to escort his mother to a wedding party”

As crimes escalated greatly in regime-controlled areas in the past few months, SOHR activists have documented a new murder in Babilla area in southern Rif Dimashq. According to SOHR sources, a man shot his wife dead with his rifle, after she refused to go with his mother to a wedding party. The man was arrested by regime security services.

 

On September 27, SOHR activists have reported that a girl from “Shukry” family was found dead and her body was split into two parties near irrigation ditch in al-Rastan city in the northern countryside of Homs.

 

According to SOHR sources, unidentified persons had kidnapped the girl over a month ago, after they killed her brother for unknown reasons.

 

While on August 25, a young man was killed and his sister was kidnapped, while they were working in farmlands. It is worth noting that the victims were from Shukry family and lived in Deir Foul village in al-Rastan city.
