Proliferation of arms in regime-controlled areas | Six people killed and wounded in exchange of fire between two groups of gunmen in western Homs

Homs province: As the security situation is deteriorating in regime-controlled areas, SOHR sources have reported exchange of fire between two groups of gunmen in Jisr Hadidah in the western countryside of Homs in the early hours of Sunday morning, which left two people dead and four others injured. However, no further details have been reported on the identities of the gunmen or the reasons behind the clashes.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that a man was found dead with marks on his body of stabbing with a sharp tool in his home in al-Adawi neighbourhood in Homs city.

 

According to local sources, the victim was in his fifties, and he was killed a few days earlier.

 

Similarly on 29 September, a young man killed, after being shot at abdomen near the mosque of al- Kholfaa al-Rashideen in al-Daator neighbourhood in Latakia city, while three other people were injured by indiscriminate gunfire by the attackers.

 

On the other hand, a man threw a grenade on his wife and sons in Ain al-Jash village in Tartus province, after a family dispute. The explosion resulted in serious injuries to the man’s son and daughter who were in their thirties.

 

While in Rif Dimashq a man shot his wife dead with his military gun over a dispute between them, as the wife refused to escort the man’s mother to a wedding party.
