Security vacuum in regime-controlled areas | Young man found dead in his car in al-Suwaidaa city

Al-Suwaidaa province: As security situation is deteriorating in areas under the control of the Syrian regime, SOHR activists have reported that a young man was found dead with gunshot wounds at head in his car, yesterday evening, on the road to Qanawat in al-Suwaidaa city in south Syria region. The young man’s body was taken to al-Suwaidaa national hospital. However, the circumstances and reasons behind this murder remained unknown.

 

On September 30, SOHR sources reported that an IED that was planted under a car exploded in Resas countryside in south al-Suwaydaa. According to SOHR, the IED was put inside a car of a leader of armed group that is loyal to the regime forces. The explosion immediately killed the man.

 

While on September 28, SOHR activists have reported that a body of member of the regime forces was found in his house in al-Nahdah neighborhood in al-Suwaydaa city. He wsa shot dead, but identity of the murderer remained unknown till now.

 

The dead man is from Walgha village in west al-Suwaydaa countryside, and he was a former employee before he was recalled for serving the Syrian army.
