Second attack of its kind in hours | Two booby-trapped drones target frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiyah

Idlib province: SOHR activists have reported that two booby-trapped drones, believed to be Iranian-made ones, attempted to attack frontlines of Bayanin village in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib. However, the rebels shot down one of the two drones with heavy machineguns, while the other one exploded in the sky, before it reached its target.

Yesterday, reliable sources in the “de-escalation zone” informed the Syrian Observatory that four members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed in the explosion of a booby-trapped drone which landed on al-Ruwayha frontline in Idlib countryside.

According to SOHR sources, the drone had landed on the targeted position with a parachute, before it exploded, and it was the first time ever for such tactics to be used.
