Security vacuum in south Syria | Unknown individuals kidnap lawyer in al-Suwaidaa, asking for ransom of 100,000 USD

Al-Suwaidaa province: As the security situation is deteriorating throughout Syria, SOHR activists have reported that unknown individuals kidnapped a lawyer who is also a member of the bar association in al-Suwaidaa three days ago. According to SOHR activists, the lawyer’s relatives received a picture of the lawyer sent by the kidnappers on whatsapp, as he was in a bad health condition. Meanwhile, the kidnappers asked for a ransom of an estimated 100,000 USD in return for releasing the lawyer.
