Russian growing escalation in ISIS areas | Russian warplanes bombards Syrian desert

Russian warplanes have bombarded dozens of strikes on the Syrian desert where it hit 33 raids on Athria and Jabal al-Amour desert near Palmyra in east Homs countryside.

On the other hand, two helicopters hovered on the desert of Thria in east Hama countryside to monitor activities of ISIS members and the trade envoys.

The moves are part of the Russian escalations on ISIS-held areas on the Syrian desert.

On Oct. 4, SOHR activists reported ongoing escalation of Russian aerial operations on ISIS positions in the Syrian desert, as Russian fighter jets successively executed over 85 airstrikes in 24 hours, targeting caves, bunkers and back lines in al-Rasafa and Ithiriya deserts in the triangle of Aleppo-Hama-al-Raqqah, and other positions in al-Sukhnah desert in the eastern countryside of Homs on the administrative border with Deir Ezzor province. However, ISIS sources could not verified the number of casualties and material damage caused by the recent airstrikes.
