Arrested during recent developments in Tel Barrak | Asayish Forces release 13 persons and keep holding four others to be tried

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” are still holding four people arrested earlier in order to be tried for “setting fire to Asayish checkpoint in the vicinity of Tel Barrak in al-Hasakah countryside.

 

Meanwhile, Asayish Forces released the 13 persons others who were arrested a few hours earlier over the state of tension Tel Barrak countryside, where civilians attacked and set fire to Asayish checkpoints on the road between al-Qamishli and Tel Barrak, after exchange of fire between Asayish Forces and regime forces.

 

On October 7, SOHR sources reported that a meeting was held between dignitaries of “al-Bokhattab” tribe and commanders of Syria Democratic Forces in the headquarters of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” in Tel Barrak area in al-Hasakah countryside. The meeting came in light of the rising tension in the region following attacks on Asayish checkpoints on the road between al-Qamishli and Tel Barrak by several civilians who set fire to these checkpoints, after exchange of fire between Asayish Forces and regime forces in Tel Barrak, which left nine civilians injured.

 

SOHR sources had reported growing tension between pro-regime individuals and patrols of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” over the stealing of electrical power transformers in Tel Barrak countryside in al-Hasakah countryside. According to SOHR sources, a state of disorder took place in the town leading people to scrambling pushing each others, which spurred Asayish forces to open fire, injuring nine civilians, some seriously. The injured civilian were taken to hospitals in al-Qamishli, amid reports of attacks by the residents of Tel Barrak on Asayish checkpoints in the region.
