Ongoing military escalation by Turkey on NE Syria | Turkish forces shell Tel Tamr, destroying civilians’ houses

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported violent shelling by Turkish forces, this evening, on Tel Tamr countryside in northern al-Hasakah, which destroyed more than three civilians’ houses in al-Derdara, Tel Jema’a and Hamra.

 

SOHR activists have also reported that the Turkish forces launched several shells on the Assyrian village of Tel Shinan in Tel Tamr countryside in al-Hasakah province.

 

This bombardment comes in light of the ongoing military escalation by Turkish forces on north-east Syria region.

 

On October 7, SOHR sources reported intensive rocket fire by Turkish forces on villages and towns of Tel Tamr countryside of Tel Tamr. The Turkish rockets hit positions in the Assyrian village of Tel Shenan and al-Dardarah, forcing tens of families to displace from these areas.

 

SOHR activists documented the death of a Turkish-backed militiaman after being shot by SDF on the frontline of Sherkerak village in northern al-Raqqah.

 

On the other hand, Turkish-backed factions renewed artillery fire on the villages of al-Dardarah and Tel Shenan in Tel Tamr countryside in al-Hasakah province.
