Russian airstrikes | Squadron of fighter jets strike positions in Syrian desert, bringing the number of airstrikes since early October to over 320

New military reinforcement arrives in the desert

SOHR activists have reported that a squadron of six Russian fighter jets consecutively targeted ISIS positions in the Syrian desert with over 14 airstrikes this evening, bringing the number of airstrikes which targeted Ihteriya, al-Rasafah and al-Tabany areas to more than 35 airstrikes since morning. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

On the other hand, SOHR activists have reported that the regime and Iranian-backed militias have brought in military reinforcement to the Syrian Desert, along with preparations to launch a combing campaign in the desert to search for ISIS members.

As Russian fighter jets continue their intensive airstrikes on ISIS positions in the Syrian Desert, Syrian Observatory activists have reported at least 320 Russian airstrikes since early October. These airstrikes targeted positions in the surrounding areas of Ihteriya, al-Rasafah and other areas in Aleppo-Hama-al-Raqqah triangle, al-Sukhnah, Palmyra desert and other areas in east Homs desert, and other areas in Deir Ezzor desert.

It is worth noting that the Russian airstrikes on the Syrian Desert in the past week left 17 ISIS members dead and 27 others injured some seriously, which may raise the death toll.
