Proliferation of arms | Family fight in rural al-Hasakah leaves one dead and others injured

Al-Hasakah province: With the alarming prevalence of unlicensed firearms throughout Syria, family and tribal fights have been escalated, leaving large number of casualties every time.

 

In this context, SOHR activists have documented the death of a man and injury of three others in an armed fight between two families in al-Kuz village of al-Ya’rabiyah district in the north-eastern al-Hasakah. According to SOHR sources, disagreements erupted between the two families, which evolved later to violent clashes.

 

It is worth noting that security chaos prevails in SDF-held areas, while security services have been still unable to put an end to the escalating armed fights, mostly ignite after disputes over disagreements or retaliations among the tribes and the families of the region.
