“Al-Hawl mini-state” | ISIS affiliates assault Iraqi woman and threaten to kill her

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that four unknown gunmen, but believed to be of ISIS cells, have assaulted a female Iraqi refugee in the first section of al-Hawl camp in al-Hasakah countryside.

According to SOHR sources, the masked gunmen stopped the woman this evening and asked her about her name, then they threatened her of killing and beat her with wooden sticks on her head and hands, before they escaped. The woman was taken to the hospital of the Kurdish Red Crescent, before she was transported to al-Shaab hospital in al-Hasakah.

SOHR sources had reported subsiding attacks and murders in September compared to earlier months.

SOHR activists could document three murders committed by ISIS cells in al-Hawl camp in September 2021, which left three Iraqi people dead, including two women. The victims were killed in the first and sixth sections of the camp

It is worth noting that the number of murders committed in al-Hawl camp since the end of the first phase of the large-scale security campaign has reached 31, which indicates to alarming escalation of killings in the camp.
