Hours after arresting member of Ansar Abu Bakr al-Sediq Battalion | Violent explosion targets Turkish military convoy in rural Idlib

Idlib province: SOHR activists have reported hearing a loud explosion nearby Maarrat Masrin in northern Idlib, caused by the detonation of an IED on the road between Kafriya and Maarrat Masrin in northern Idlib, as a Turkish military convoy was passing. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

 

This attack came hours after HTS had announced arresting a member of Ansar Abu Bakr al-Sediq Battalion which had claimed responsibility of earlier attacks on Turkish forces in Idlib.

 

While on September 11, SOHR sources confirmed the death of two Turkish soldiers and injury of four others, after an IED explosion targeted their vehicle on the road between Idlib and Nabash in northern Idlib, amid unconfirmed reports of the death of a third soldier.

 

On the other hand, “Abu Bakr al-Siddiq” battalion claimed responsibility of the attack.
