In October | Above 200,000 COVID-19 case and 1,400 death in regime forces-held areas

SOHR has continued to monitor the issue of COVID-19 spread in the Syrian provinces that are under control of the Syrian regime, some trusted medical sources have recorded 200,000 infections and 1,410 deaths of the pandemic during October.

The Syrian regime still hides and lies about the true numbers by announcing daily dozens of deaths. The regime numbers contradict with announcement of full capacity of the intensive care in several areas, while the vaccination process continues with no high turnout till the moment over fears of bad storage of the vaccine.

According to SOHR statistics that depended on trusted medical sources within the areas under the control of the Syrian regime, confirmed COVID-19 cases have reached 5,200,000 including 4,500,000 recoveries and 41,932 deaths.

Meanwhile, Syrian Health Ministry said it has only recorded 38,067 cases and 2,375 deaths while recoveries hit 24,800.
