Assassination attempt | Member of “al-Quneitra Council” survives IED attack in southern countryside

Al-Quneitra province: SOHR sources have reported that a member of has survived an assassination attempt, after unknown individuals planted an IED below his car in al-Qusaybah town in southern al-Quneitra, a part of which is located in the western countryside of Daraa, as the IED exploded and caused material damage only.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported hearing an explosion in Taranjah village in the northern countryside of al-Quneitra, caused by the detonation of an IED in a car parked next to a house in the village. The explosion caused material damage only.

 

This explosion coincided with the deteriorating security in south Syria region.

 

On September 5, SOHR sources documented the assassination of a regime officer and another person “collaborating” with regime security services who was escorting him, after being attacked on the outskirts of al-Hajjah village near the border with occupied Syrian Golan in the southern countryside of al-Quneitra.

 

Separately, SOHR activists reported seeing Russian aircraft flying over Yarmouk Basin near the Syria-Jordan border.

 

While on August 31, SOHR sources documented the death of two persons working for regime forces, after an IED exploded in their car in Jbata al-Khashab in al-Quneitra countryside near the border with occupied Syrian Golan.
