Ongoing violations | “Mohamed al-Fateh” faction releases ten civilians from Afrin, after taking large levies

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that the Turkish-backed military police arrested a civilian from Kamarshiyah village in Raju district, while he was installing water meters, for “dealing with the Autonomous Administration during its control of Afrin”.

 

On October 14, “Mohamed al-Fateh” faction released ten civilians from Ma’mal Oshaghi in Raju district, after taking levies of 2,000 TL from the families of each prisoner. The Turkish-backed faction had arrested the ten civilians on October 11 in order to collect levies, under the pretext that they were “dealing with the Autonomous Administration”.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that a patrol of Liwaa Samqrand faction raided a house in Kafr Safra village in Jinderes district this week and arrested a woman then checked all cell phones at the house, without knowing charges against the woman.

 

On October 11, another patrol of the Military Police arrested one civilian from Mousaco in Rajo neighborhood without charges and took him to Afrin city.

 

Meanwhile, Turkish intelligence forces and Military Police arrested civilians in Qantarah village in Ma’batly neighborhood during the past week, on charges of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration, and took them to an unknown destination.
