Security vacuum | Unidentified gunmen raid fighting faction base and loot heavy machineguns

Idlib province: SOHR activists have reported that an unidentified armed group has raided the base of Jaish al-Ezza faction among the fighting factions in Idlib near al-Mastouma on Idlib-Ariha road in Idlib countryside, where the armed group managed to loot 23 machineguns, before fleeing to an unknown destination.

On Oct 11, a young man, who was a university student from Idlib countryside, was killed by a gunman in the agricultural lands in al-Magharah village in Jabal al-Zawiyah in south Idlib countryside.

SOHR sources said the young man was killed due to old vendetta issue.

The accident took place amid the ongoing security lax within the HTS controlling areas and the other Syrian areas with different controlling forces.

Syrian Observatory activists in HTS-held areas have documented the death of 72 persons since the beginning of 2021 by bombings, shooting or kidnapping and then getting rid of much of the bodies in remote areas in Idlib and the surrounding villages or in Aleppo, Hama and Latakkia.
