Al-Hasakah | Pro-regime members prevent US convoy from passing through their village

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that pro-regime members of Hamu village have gathered in al-Qamishly al-Sharqy countryside in regime-held areas, and prevented the US tanks from passing through their village towards M4 national road. Therefore, the US convoy turned back and headed towards Khazna town southeastern of al-Qamishly on the international road.

On October 7, SOHR sources reported growing tension between pro-regime individuals and patrols of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” over the stealing of electrical power transformers in Tel Barrak countryside in al-Hasakah countryside. According to SOHR sources, a state of disorder took place in the town leading people to scrambling pushing each other’s, which spurred Asayish forces to open fire, injuring nine civilians, some seriously. The injured civilians were taken to hospitals in al-Qamishli, amid reports of attacks by the residents of Tel Barrak on Asayish checkpoints in the region.
