Deir Ezzor | New armed Family feud in SDF-held areas wound civilians

Der Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that three armed men of al-Wase’a village were injured in the countryside of al-Sour town in Deir Ezzor countryside which is under control of SDF, due to a fight took place between cousins in the village today, which evolved to armed clashes with shooting, causing injuries of three gunmen.

With the alarming prevalence of unlicensed firearms throughout Syria, family and tribal fights have been escalated, leaving large number of casualties every time.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported a new armed fight in SDF-held areas, as clashes erupted between two families over the possession of a farmland in al-Karama district in the eastern countryside of al-Raqqah. The clashes left many people injured, amid growing tension in the region and attempts by mediators to defuse the tension.

On Oct 17, SOHR activists documented the death of a man affected by the wounds he sustained a day earlier, after a group of gunmen opened fire on a group of people over an old revenge in al-Muwailah village in Dier Ezzor countryside. Accordingly, the number of people killed in this attack rose to three, including an SDF fighter.

On Saturday, SOHR activists reported that an SDF fighter was among two people killed in a family armed fight, while four others injured due to an old retaliation in al-Muwailah village in Dier Ezzor countryside.
