After yesterday’s massacre in Ariha | Regime forces renew shelling positions in the city and perimeter of Turkish post in Jabal al-Zawiyah

SOHR sources have reported that regime forces renewed bombardment on the “de-escalation zone” this morning, as they fired several artillery shells on positions in Mu’taram village to the east of Ariha, which hosts a Turkish military post, and other positions on the international highway between Mu’taram and Ariha.

Regime forces also targeted the perimeter of the Turkish post in Shenan village in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib with artillery, before Turkish forces responded by shelling regime positions in al-Hamdinah village in the south of Maarrat al-Nu’man in Idlib countryside. However, no casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported rise of deaths to 13 including four kids and a female, in regime forces rocket attack in the morning on Ariha city in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile three persons were unidentified and 24 persons were wounded seriously. Deaths were expected to rise because the attack happened while the children were heading to schools and the old to their work.

It is worth noting that the massacre was the largest since the ceasefire in the de-escalation zone that was reached in a meeting of Putin and Erdoghan on March 5, 2020.
