Aleppo countryside | Al-Mu’tassem Division assaults leader in Liwaa al-Waqqas, while Liwa Asifat al-Shamal threatens to evacuate refugee camp

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of al-Mu’tassem Division and Manhaj al-Sunna Battalion, led by Abu Muslim al-Hejji, have severely beaten a leader in Liwaa al-Waqqas known as “Abu Laisar”, in Marea’ city, before they took him to the headquarters of al-Mu’tassem Division in the city where the leader was tortured brutally and his car was seized.

This attack came after the assaulted leader disclosed a network affiliated to al-Mu’tassem Division trading in narcotics in Marea’ city in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The assailants later released the leader of Liwaa al-Waqqas and asked him to leave Marea’ city immediately.

On the other hand, Liwa Asifat al-Shamal has warned over 80 displaced families living in al-Mala’ab camp in Azaz city to evacuate the camp under the pretext of “transporting the families to another camp”. The faction claimed that the land owner wanted to get his land back, although the land belonged to a pro-regime man living in regime-controlled areas in Latakia city.
