North Aleppo countryside | Factions of the “National Army” and Kurdish forces trade fire on several frontlines, with Turkish rocket fire

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported exchange of fire with heavy and medium machineguns between Turkish-backed factions of the “National Army” and Kurdish forces on frontlines in Basofan in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces fired several rockets on positions in the Kurdish-held villages of Baylouniyah and Ain Daqnah villages in northern Aleppo, but no casualties have been reported.

On Wednesday, SOHR activists reported that two children sustained several wounds in the evening, due to Turkish ground shelling by forces stationed in Kalgibrin on a house inhabited by members of regime forces in al-Shaikh Eissa village in Kurdish-held areas of the northern countryside of Aleppo, amid a state of panic and fears among the village’s residents.

SOHR sources reported earlier that Turkish forces fired several rockets on positions in Tel Rifaat district in the northern countryside of Aleppo. However, no casualties were reported.

It is worth noting that Tel Rifaat is under the control of Turkish and regime forces and hosts a Russian military base. While the Turkish rocket fire comes as a part of ongoing military escalation by the Turkish forces on the region.
