New crime in regime-held areas | Girl found dead in Rif Dimashq, near Syria-Lebanon border

Rif Dimashq province: As crimes have been alarmingly escalated in regime-controlled areas, SOHR sources have reported that a girl was found dead and dumped in the orchards of Ain al-Hour area in Sarghaya district in Rif Dimashq, on the Syria-Lebanon border. After investigation, security services arrested a young man who had frequented to the place where the incident took place. The young man acknowledged of strangling the girl to death using a scarf. The man justified his crime by revenging the girl who “caused problems to the man with his family a few years ago”, as he described. It was found out later that the man was wanted by security service for “having drugs”.

 

On October 14, SOHR sources reported that residents reported to the regime forces security services complain about bad smile coming from one house in al-Homasy neighborhood in Jermana city in Damascus countryside, the forces found a body of 60-year-old tied and naked man who is lying on a sponge that is covered with several sheets. The security men arrested a suspected man who was visiting the victim. The perpetrator confessed he killed the old man with hammering his head with sport weight and then stolen the house along with another one.
