Targeting ISIS positions | Five Russian fighters target ISIS hotbeds in Syrian desert along with regime forces combing operation

SOHR activists have monitored exchange of five Russian jets on ISIS fighters posts in the desert of east Hama until reaching al-Rasafah desert in al-Raqqa countryside where the forces have carried out more than 30 riads amid hovering of giant scouting plane “sawn” in the region which coincided with ordinary combing process that was run by the regime forces in search for ISIS cells in al-Rasafah and east Hama deserts.

On Oct. 23, SOHR activists documented the death of two members of pro-regime militias and injury of six others in Jabal al-Bishri in Deir Ezzor countryside due to friendly fire by members of the regime-backed 17th Division, who thought that the attacked militiamen were ISIS members.

Meanwhile, Syrian Observatory activists reported that Russian jets carried out about 20 airstrikes since the early hours of Saturday on positions where ISIS cells were holed up in al-Rasafa desert, south-west of al-Raqqah.
